Chain Identification Chart

Contained within the chart below you will find the chain identification makings found commonly on chains. These markings may not relate to a manufacturers actual part number.

The chain manufacturers name is usually stamped on the tie strap, and the marking below will be found on one side of the drive link.

You should be able to tie everything back to the first column which is the name we use for the chains on our website.

Please read the note below the chart if you have a Stihl chain.

*Stihl chains are usually stamped in two places. The first number in the chart being on the drive link itself, this is the gauge of the chain, and the second number on the chart on the depth gauge in front of the cutting tooth.
